Louisville personal injury attorneys protecting the rights of individuals in Kentucky
Our founding attorneys spent nearly ten years defending insurance companies from personal injury suits. We know all the tactics that the other side uses because we once used those tactics ourselves. Now we work for injured people in the Commonwealth. Now we work for you.

Biography
The granddaughter of Kansas farmers, Ms. Durrett relocated nearly ten times living in various places on the East Coast as her father earned his living in the automobile industry. Now proud to call Louisville home, Ms. Durrett is a founding partner of De Renzo Durrett. It is this nomadic, though fundamentally Midwestern upbringing that makes Ms. Durrett a straight shooting, hard fighting advocate for her clients.
Ms. Durrett graduated from the University of North Carolina and earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. After practicing insurance defense in metropolitan Dallas, Texas for two years, she and her husband, a Louisville native, relocated to Louisville to start a family in 2002. After working in insurance defense in Louisville for another five years, Ms. Durrett opened her own practice shortly after she and her husband had twin sons. In 2008, Ms. Durrett founded this firm with Ms. De Renzo with the philosophy that the formula for success is zealous, ethical representation of our clients.

Biography
Amy was born in Fort Gaines, Georgia and lived with her parents and two brothers in southeast Alabama. After graduating from Houston County High School in 1993, she received a degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of South Alabama. Although Amy always had a passion for helping others, it was during her involvement in student government that she began to become actively involved in activities in which she was able to volunteer with on campus groups where she routinely assisted disabled students with their daily needs such as grocery shopping and getting to and from class. She also spent many hours with Habitat for Humanity helping to build houses for those less fortunate.
During her time at the University of South Alabama, Amy became keenly aware of the role the campus police took in scaring students on campus. Thereafter, she took a special interest in researching the abuses of power of some campus police forces. It was then that Amy decided she would take her passion for helping others one step further and attend law school to do her part to ensure due process for those in the criminal justice system. Amy attended Ohio Northern University where she received her law degree and developed an interest in family law.
Amy had visited extended family in Louisville for many years as a child and always enjoyed the city. Amy and her family are parishioners at St. Margaret Mary Church, where she actively participates on numerous committees. After graduating from law school, she and Joshua decided the best place to raise children was in Louisville, Kentucky and they moved to Louisville to begin their law careers. Amy began her career as a Jefferson County Public Defender and currently has been appointed by Jefferson County Family Court Judge Paula F. Sherlock to represent parents, on a weekly basis, in cases involving the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (more commonly known as CPS). She has enjoyed that position since 2006.
Amy and her husband, Joshua, live in Louisville and have two sons, Alec and Grey.
